The inspection that happens at the loading dock
A CLI takes place as goods are being loaded into the shipping container. The inspector verifies that the correct products, in the correct quantities, in acceptable condition, are being loaded and that the container is clean, dry, and structurally sound.
CLI catches substitution errors, short shipments, mixed SKU loads, and loading damage that can occur even after a successful FRI.

Container condition, carton count against packing list, random carton opening for product verification, loading pattern check, dunnage and bracing, container seal number photographed.
